Who can rate items and write customer reviews?
Anyone is entitled to rate items and write customer reviews.
Reviews are based on a "star" system and the average rating (1 to 5 stars) will appear on the item detail page. Items with no stars shown have not been reviewed yet.
To create a review, bring up the item page on our website and click on the link "click to rate this product." You do not need an account to post a customer review. Please allow 5-7 business days for your review to appear. Submissions that do not follow the below guidelines will not be posted.
By making a submission, you give us the right to use your submission for any purpose. We may sublicense the right to use your review to others.
Does the reviewer have to buy the item from The Good Home Co.?
No. It doesn't matter where an item was purchased, or if it was a gift, or if the reviewer just borrowed it for a weekend. If someone feels moved to write a review of an item, they are welcome to do so.
In what order do customer reviews appear on a detail page?
The default display for customer reviews is in order from newest to oldest.
How long do customer reviews stay on the site?
Indefinitely. There is no expiration date on customer reviews.
Can customer reviews be removed?
In certain cases, yes. A customer review should focus on specific features of an item and the customer's experience with it. The best reviews include not only whether they liked or disliked an item, but also why. Customers are free to mention related items and how a particular item rates in comparison.
What's not allowed:
• Submissions may not contain any material that is unlawful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, invasive of privacy, obscene, fraudulent, or otherwise objectionable or injurious to third parties. • Please do not include any phone numbers, email addresses, postal addresses or URLs. • No single-word reviews - we want to know why you liked or disliked the item. • Please do not include availability, price or alternative ordering/shipping information or time-sensitive material. • Submissions and their position on the page are subject to change without notice, so please do not comment on other reviews visible on the page. • We will not post any political campaigning, commercial solicitation, chain letters, mass mailings or any form of "spam." • A submission is not the appropriate place to let us know about typos or product questions.
